in partnership with offers highly competitive rates for all types of hotels in Morro Bay, from affordable family hotels to the most luxurious ones. Window.ta=window.Why to book your stay at Pacific Shores Inn - Morro Bay hotel with us Noise isolation was pretty poor, though none of the guests our night were being excessively loud.… No breakfast, though there are some good bakeries nearby. No fan in the bathroom, and the window looks right into the building behind. The sink was just a big hole with a missing stopper. The hand towel rack by the sink had a year's worth of dust on top of the mount even though it's right there in your face. The bathroom floor clearly hadn't been swept before our visit, and the corners were dirty like they're never cleaned. Nothing was disgustingly filthy, but the cleaning left a lot to be desired. The furniture is pretty beat up with lots of dings and scratches revealing the wood below the painted finish. The situation with the room is odd - it's like it was renovated not too long ago but with the cheapest possible furniture and then only lazily cleaned since then. We had a single queen room, and while it was ok, I wouldn't go back. The location is good, but not unique as Morro Bay has many hotels in walking distance of the waterfront. We will not be back to this hotel for any reason and although it seems like a deal I would pay a little more money and stay at a place where you feel safe to sleep as far as hygiene. They do not properly care for the exterior of the building as well as you can see in some of the photos that I posted. We stayed for two days and didn't even bother to use the shower because this hotel and everything in it felt unsanitary. It is not just the bathroom although it seems to radiate out of there. The smell of urine in the room is very strong as others have posted in their comments about this hotel. As I started to look around the room I realized that nothing had been wiped down properly. I just happened to stand up and the sheep pulled off and exposed a lot of black hair underneath. Upon arrival I had to have them come change the sheets because there was hair all over the mattress cover under the sheet. Overall we did like the location, but next time in Morro Bay will pay more for peace and quiet.… If your light sleeper this is your warning. We gave it 3.5 because of the noise and very thin walls. You will hear the birds all the time and see the droppings everywhere but that is Morro Bay. Probable reason the prices are a little lower than other in this good location. No fault of the Fireside INN but sounds like this is a common occurrence at the Inn. We didn't want to cause any ruckus and ask them to quiet it down, but where is the common courtesy. First night the room next to us played music until midnight and then stayed up until 2am doing what young couples do. Now the one thing and as you read in the previous posts, the walls are super thin. The location is good with free parking and easy walking distance to all the sites, restaurants, and the Morro Rock. We did like that the soap, shampoo, containers were not the little throwaway bottles most hotels use and is a huge plastic waste. We were in 221 second floor and the rooms are big enough for two people with a nice bed, fridge, microwave, etc. We open the doors and let the cool breeze in to air the room out. Upon entering the room, there was a smell of bleach, which in the past would have been issue but told us the room was being sanitized. During these COVID times, the Inn practiced social distancing protocols with our check in being fast and good.
